London Wetlands 4 June 2007

A pair of barnacle geese had a pair of goslings - All together now - One .. two ... three ....... Awwwwwww!
A lovely pair of Bewick Swans were sitting on a clutch of four eggs, the mother (well I presume the mother) had a quick count while the father watched carefully. Watch this space for cygnets!

The black swan was in a daft mood today. He was careering around his pond, think it was his way of having a bath as he was preening in-between times, but talk about making a mountain out of a molehill!

The ducks at the Wetlands are a clean lot compared to their Northern Cousins, and this was a vute tufted duck conducting his daily nuptials.

I took a long walk around the edge of the lagoon and spotted this heron looking for fish. I think I scared him off as he flew away when he heard the shutter click

Found this mini beast in the Playground.. Not sure of his breeding, but think he was definitely the cutest there today!
