Goodness where has the time gone.. last time I blinked I was the mum to two small boys.. and yet suddenly on Friday my eldest completed his formal education.... although he will be going back in September to retake some exams... In 1997 Tom began his school life in reception class.. he started a couple of days late as my dad had died suddenly and Tom had been in hospital with stomach problems... He lasted 5 weeks, and then had to leave for a complex heart operation which robbed him of the next year at school. he did not return until September 1998 and then only on a part time basis. he started at St Cecilia's School in Wandsworth in 2004 and last Friday was the last day that the government could legally make him go to school...
All I can say Tom is that you really deserved your night. I know what a struggle the years at school have been for you, and how much effort you have put in just to keep going there day after day. However you do on Thursday 27th August will be a miracle, just because you went there and took all those exams, you tried hard and you did your best... well done...
