Martin Mere - Swans

Although martin Mere was buzzing with ducklings, there were not many cygnets. This was one of the only pair that we saw.. But how cute is he? How can peole call them the ugly ducklings?

The Black swans were out on the path and happy to pose for pictures today. I love black swans (as you will know if you are a reader of this blog) but I don't like their eyes.. far to pigeon like!

Not a swan, but my old favourite the Magpie Goose. There was one difference, these Magpie Geese did not hate me and try to chase me away. Perhaps the WWT would be kind and swap the London and Lancashire pairs.
