Today is the Chinese New Year.. Happy New Year, and Welcome to the Year of the Rat!. What else does a girl do, than head up to Chinatown and watch the parade??

This was actually taken a little later on Grafton street in Chinatown, where the dragon visits all the restaurants for a 'feeding the dragon' ceremony. Each restauranter leaves a lettuce over the doorway, which the dragon eats, to bring luck to the establiushment during this year of the Rat
I guess even dragons need a breather from time to time, it was pretty hot even without dancing in a shiny green dragon suit!
