Paris - The Eiffel Tower at Night

We were so lucky that the lovely Hotel valadon was within a short walk of the Eiffel Tower so we eneded up there more often than not... I love the Eiffel Tower, especially at night. Unfortunately for amateurs like me it is not so easy to photograph at night... but I hope these photos give you a flavour

Back to Paris - The Wheel

Surely you didn't think that the Paris pictures had finished??? Not to fast!! Towards the end of the first day we stopped at the Louvre. the queue for the Mona Lisa, did not look appetising, and so we headed for the Wheel now in Les Jardins des Tuileries

The wheel was far too wobbly for good pix (blame Aunty Jen who was swinging it like a naughty teenager) but I like the people, very Lowry like!!

I officially LOVE hot air balloons... have just returned from Bristol where they were holding the International Balloon Fiesta... and finally after former mishaps with me and the weather and hot air balloons, the weather was great... what a spectacle, 96 hot air balloons, all taking off within a few minutes...

Paris - View from Montparnasse Tower

The view from the Montpanasse Tower is generally regarded to be the best in paris, for one simple reason..... t is the only place in paris that you can't see the Montparnasse Tower. We arrived amid a drizzle and were somewhat disappointed to be sold half price tickets because it was a restricted view... however disappointment soo turned to glee when we enjoyed 3 hours of lovely views.... bargain..... There was no sun to watch disappear, but the light faded beautifully
